If you want to get noticed by the visitor SEO is the most important aspect you should look for. It does not matter how good your site is
or how good information you are providing, your site is of little worth unless people reach you. There are millions of web sites available now.
But only a few can be reached by the targeted audience. It is from statistics we know that if you are not on the first page of Google or Yahoo, 60% of the audience
will never reach you.And for getting listed on the first page of those search engines you have to know how SEO works.
It is a very simple process, though you need some time, depending on the keywords you choose.
More competitive the keywords the more time it takes. Two things matter here -
Patience and Consistency and persistency.

Some basics of SEO are given below :-
Title tag is the most important one in the SEO. You should add the most important keywords of your site here.
What you will write on this tag people will see it at the top left of your browser. Try to make it shorter and to the point preferably within 60 letters.
Next important one is meta tag.
It should be like this :
Meta name = "Description" content ="Search engine optimization"
Meta name =”keywords” contents ="SEO, Top of Google, First Page of Google"
Once you have completed this entire thing, you should have a good content on your site. Write the content in such a way that your keywords can be there in almost every line.
More dense your keywords are the better it is.
Use H tag as many times as you can. H tag means header tags. Use your keywords within h1 to h6 tags. Because search engine crawler gives it the most preference
after title tag. So this is very important.
Once you have completed all those steps, the next most important things come. And for that you need lots and lots of patience and hard work.
But if you get listed on the top of Google you will open up different types of earning opportunity. You have to build links. You can go through reciprocal
link exchange i.e. you ask webmasters whose content match with yours to add your site in their websites and you add their link in to your site.
The more No. of websites will have your link, the more page rank you will have. But remember one thing: if your site is listed on the sites whose page
ranking is higher than yours, better it will be for your page rank.
